Below you will find a brief presentation of our external coaches overseeing the onboarding of selected candidates during their trial period.



 Bojan Brank


Bojan Brank has extensive experience in management and supervision of companies. From 1991 to 2009, he was in charge of the Slovenian branch of the multinational logistic company DHL (from 1991 to 2002 DHL International, from 2003 to 2009 DHL Express Slovenia). In 1997, he received the Bill Walden Award given to the best young manager at the global corporate level of DHL International. He participated in comprehensive internal training within the DHL system, including coaching and mentoring, and also served as a coach and mentor of management team members at the corporate level. He has been a mentor/business coach to the members of the entrepreneurial network CEED Slovenia since 2010. He was President of the Management Board of the Port of Koper from September 2012 to September 2013. He also served on supervisory boards of three major Slovenian companies (SB of Mercator, d.d.: June 2012 - June 2013, SB of Port of Koper d.d.: 2009 -2012 and SB of Slovenian Railways: 2009 - 2012 – he also presided over the latter for a year). He has been an active member of various managers’ associations (Manager’s Association of Slovenia, Ljubljana Club of Managers) and in the establishment of the American Chamber of Commerce AmCham in Slovenia, he acted as a member of the Management Board and Vice-Governor. Following the acquisition of DHL by Deutsche Post, he was a member of the Management Board of the Slovenian-German Chamber of Commerce from 2004 to2008. He gained his degree in general management from the Ashridge Management College within London City University. He is currently a member of the Management Board of the Association of Management Consulting of Slovenia and since 2004 the President of the Monitoring Committee of the Slovenian Coaching Association. He is a lecturer of an introductory module of the Coaching Academy on the subject of leadership. He has been engaged in coaching, training and business consulting in his company Abena for the past 5 years.


Robert Ličen


Rober Ličen holds an MA degree in management and organisation. He boasts more than 20 years of experience in the economy, of which more than 15 years were in the running of companies. He first served as a manager at Tobačna Ljubljana, then as CEO in the company Akrapovič, President of the Management Board of Steklarna Rogaška and Assistant to the President of the Management Board of Gorenje. Despite several offers to manage companies, in 2009 he decided to set up his own company involved in the education of managers, change management as well as personal and business mentoring. He is a long-standing mentor to various young entrepreneurs within CEED, a personal mentor to several top directors throughout Slovenia, an author of more than one hundred professional articles published in various magazines and professional journals, an active participant at various local and international symposia, round tables, a columnist and commentator of current political and economic events. Last but not least, he won the Young Manager award of 2005 for his work at Akrapovič d.o.o., and the Managerial Challenge award of 2007 in crisis management for the successful recovery of Steklarna Rogaška.


 Enzo Smrekar


Enzo Smrekar is a member of the Board and Chief Operations Officer at the Droga Kolinska Group. He has over 25 years of experience in managerial positions, amongst which are those in international companies such as Philip Morris and Diageo. His experience principally includes management and marketing coupled with good knowledge of the region and the broader international business environment. In the past, he participated in various strategic projects with companies such as A.T. Kearney and Stearn & Stewart. He holds a MBA degree from the IEDC Bled. He has a coaching and mentoring licence, which he acquired at the CIPD Oxford Brookes University. He is also an NLP practitioner (Richard Bandler Society of NLPI) and a student of Psychological Kinesiology by Chris Walton Msc. He is a mentor to members of the CEED Slovenia Centre for Entrepreneurship and a coach to MBA students at the IEDC Bled.


 Milena Štular


Milena Štular held the position of advisor to the President of the Mercator Management Board. She has also served as Executive Director for Global Supply Management at the same company since 2009. Prior to this, she was a Member of the Board and Chief Operations Officer at the Droga Kolinska Group. She was also General Manager at Bestfoods Adria and Unilever Slovenia for a long period. She began her career as Brand and Marketing Manager at Kolinska. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana, she received additional training from the IEDC Bled School of Management where she completed a general management programme. She holds an international certificate (INLPTA) as a NLP practitioner. She is a mentor to members of the CEED Slovenia Centre for Entrepreneurship and a coach to MBA students at the IEDC Bled School of Management. She is an expert in marketing and sales, a manager with extensive experience in Slovenian companies and international corporations. She is a prominent member of the Slovenian marketing community and a lecturer in a series of marketing training programmes. She was President of the Slovenian Advertising Association for six years and a member of the SOF and EFFIE festival jury. She was declared advertiser personality of the year in 2009.


  Aleksander Zadel, PhD


Aleksander Zadel is the founder of the Corpus, Anima, Ratio Institute for personal development, which enables people of all ages to form an integrated, autonomous personality capable of taking mature decisions. He is a lecturer and researcher at the University of Primorska, a RT therapist, the main initiator of the movement Kakoživ.si and founder of the employment agency Competo. Some years ago, he served at Actual I.T., d. o. o. as Head of Quality, HR and General Affairs. He is a specialist clinical psychologist. He holds a PhD in psychological sciences. During his eight years of service in the health sector, he primarily dealt with dependence diseases, prevention and healthy lifestyle. His research interests include management, negotiations, staffing and emotional intelligence.
