Competo HR hackathon  is a whole day event. It could either mark the first step towards the innovation of HR practices and processes, or could serve as “a breath of fresh air” and the source of new ideas for existing innovative HR projects. An HR hackathon is a method for the innovation of HR practices and processes by bringing together talents from different companies, different generations, and with different skills and experience. The purpose of a whole day and intense Competo HR hackathon is to find as many innovative solutions for HR challenges companies will face in the future.

Competo HR hackathon is designed for the companies wishing to take the first step to the innovation of HR practices and processes or bring a breath of fresh air to existing innovative HR projects.

IN-HOUSE HR HACKATHON

An HR hackathon is a method for the innovation of HR practices and processes bringing together talents from different departments, different generations, and with different skills and experience.

The purpose of an HR hackathon is to find as many innovative solutions for HR challenges companies will face in the future. It is intended for companies wishing to take the first step towards the innovation of HR practices and processes, bring a breath of fresh air to innovative HR projects, as well as teach and encourage their employees to engage in creative thinking.

The hackathon is successful and efficient if participants are creative, cooperative and full of energy, believe in the process and have the desire to succeed and express themselves in an enabling environment.

The purpose of the in-house HR hackathon:

  1. conducting a managed process of defining the key HR challenges;
  2. learning of good thinking and “brainstorming” on the basis of real-life cases (HR challenges) – for his reason, concepts learnt are immediately put into practices and are as such more applicable in day-to-day activities also after the end of the HR hackathon;
  3. a perspective on challenges “from the outside” – cooperation and input information from other departments, not only HR;
  4. collecting “out-of-the-box” ideas that the existing team would not be able to generate on their own in a closed environment due to their experience and a day-to-day routine;
  5. empowering associates from different departments to become „the better future of work ambassadors“;
  6. enabling employee creativity in a democratic space;
  7. motivation for change: given its dynamic nature and positive atmosphere, the HR hackathon serves as a powerful motivational tool.

Work method: in-house hackathon takes place in small groups and could last 1 or 2 days. The hackathon facilitator and moderator take participants through the process.
